About this accessory
The VK-172 is the dongle the wardriving community standardized on years ago, and it still earns its place: a u-blox GNSS engine (GPS + GLONASS) in a magnetic-base housing that enumerates as a USB serial port and streams standard NMEA-0183 sentences. No drivers on most Linux, macOS and Windows systems — it just shows up as /dev/ttyACM0 (or COMx), and WiGLE, Kismet, GPSd, NetHunter and your own scripts consume it directly. RX-only by design: it listens to satellites and reports position, and transmits nothing anywhere. A clean, cheap position feed for your existing privacy tooling.
