About this accessory
Operating systems expose a mic-permission model, but a software toggle can be revoked silently by an update or misconfigured by an app. This plug takes the physical route: insert it into a spare USB-C port and it presents an audio-accessory endpoint with no microphone input connected, so nothing on the host can record from that port. There is no firmware, no battery and nothing to trust beyond the plug itself. Pull it out to restore the microphone. It is a small, concrete control for meetings, hotels and shared spaces.
Features
- Hardware mic disconnect — no software permission can be flipped
- Presents a dummy audio endpoint to the host, no driver needed
- Works in any spare USB-C port on phones, tablets and laptops
- Passive: no battery, firmware or pairing to manage
- Pull it out and the microphone is back — no settings to undo
