About this accessory
The PN532 is NXP's widely supported NFC controller, and this kit is the module most projects are written against. It reads and writes 13.56 MHz tags — MIFARE Classic/ Ultralight family, NTAG, and compatible ISO14443A targets — and supports the three common host interfaces: SPI, I2C, and UART, selectable on-board. It works directly with Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi, with mature libraries on every platform, which is why it is the default NFC module in the security-research and maker communities. If you are prototyping tag workflows, building your own reader rig, or adding NFC to a board that lacks it, this is the predictable, well-documented choice.
